EasyJet in talks after rejecting £4.9bn takeover bid
EasyJet has opened discussions with US firm Castlelake, despite turning down its fourth takeover offer of £4.9 billion. The airline rejected the 650p-a-share bid, saying it undervalued the company and raised "significant questions of deliverability". However, EasyJet will give Castlelake access to information, hoping it leads to a better proposal before a 5 July deadline.
