Chernobyl damage raises radioactive release risk
Europe faces a potential increase in radioactive releases due to damage at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, sparking fears of an inner shell collapse. Ukraine alleges Russia has repeatedly attacked the site since its 2022 invasion, with the protective dome damaged last February.
