83% of Teachers Cite Staff Gaps in SEND
Many children needing special education support may not receive it, as schools lack enough staff. The NEU, England's largest teaching union, says schools cannot meet government aims for new SEND reforms. A survey of over 10,000 members found 83% see staff shortages as a significant barrier. The government pledged £4 billion, but the union says it is not enough.
