Wigan's youth squad closes on Super League top spot
Wigan Warriors, fielding several young stand-ins, secured a 30-18 victory over Warrington Wolves, bringing them to within two points of Super League leaders Leeds Rhinos. Four young players, including Josh Cartwright and Taylor Kerr, scored their first senior tries, filling in due to injury troubles like star full-back Jai Field's back injury. Warrington, who were 12-0 up early on, dropped to fourth in the league behind Wakefield Trinity.
