2029 Oscars Will Move to Downtown Los Angeles

The Oscars will now happen in a much bigger space, allowing more people to attend the live show. Organisers announced the ceremony will move about nine miles from Hollywood's Dolby Theatre to downtown Los Angeles's Peacock Theatre in 2029. The Peacock Theatre will host around 7,000 guests, offering double the Dolby Theatre's current capacity.
