London firms slow hiring after Burnham uncertainty

People looking for new jobs could face fewer openings as employers hold back on recruitment while waiting for political clarity. Morgan McKinley said professional vacancies in London fell during the second quarter of 2026 after Prime Minister Keir Starmer's resignation. Vacancies reached 4,636, down 5% from the previous quarter and 3% from a year earlier.
