Burnham wants UK energy bills as cheap as Europe's within 10 years
Andy Burnham said he wants British energy costs, among Europe's highest, in line with neighbouring countries within 10 years by reforming a broken energy market. He said he had ordered faster work to break the link between household power prices and the international gas market. He cited a massive expansion of homegrown renewables and nuclear, and said public control was the opposite of anti-business.
