Jobs for thousands of 18-24 year olds funded from April
From next April, a wider government initiative will provide state-funded employment opportunities to thousands of young disabled individuals. Those aged 18 to 24 receiving health or disability benefits will get a guaranteed job if unemployed for three months after assessment. Major retailers like Tesco, Lidl, Boots, and John Lewis have confirmed placements, with the government hoping to help 90,000 young people by 2029.
