Prime Minister Andy Burnham visited Aberfan Monday, laying a wreath with survivor Jeff Edwards and Welsh Secretary Stephen Kinnock days before the 60th anniversary. On 21 October 1966 a colliery spoil tip killed 116 children and 28 adults. Burnham said the community was not properly treated by authorities and stressed coal-tip safety, citing £140m for Wales. King Charles, Queen Camilla and Prince William visit Wednesday.
