Burnham to review early prisoner release scheme from September

Prime Minister Andy Burnham announced a re-evaluation of the early prisoner release policy, due to commence in September, in response to public criticism. Concerns arose after two of PC Andrew Harper's killers might be eligible for early release under the new Sentencing Act. Burnham said the main perpetrator in PC Harper's killing will not be released early.
