Burnham suggests southern homeowners should pay higher property taxes

Prime Minister Andy Burnham put forward the idea that property owners in the South of England might face increased property taxes, aiming to achieve equity for northern England. He hinted at reforming or replacing the current council tax system, which is based on property values from 1991.
