Turkey urges NATO reset ties with Trump
NATO unity could weaken if US involvement in the alliance declines. Turkey said allies should use a July summit in Ankara to rebuild relations with Donald Trump and prepare for possible reduced US participation. Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said the meeting on July 7-8 could address tensions, noting Trump has criticised NATO and may cut troop presence in Europe.
