British households face two more years of elevated food prices

British households will keep paying elevated prices for essential foods like bread and pasta. The Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit's report attributes this to global occurrences such as the crisis in the Middle East and the El Niño weather phenomenon. Their study indicates that shelf prices recoup merely 1 percent over half a year, eventually reaching a 7 percent increase after 24 months.
