Johan Manzambi headed the only goal as Aston Villa beat Newcastle 1-0 at St James' Park on Saturday. The 21-year-old Switzerland midfielder, who turned down Newcastle to join Villa for just over £50m in the summer, met João Gomes's cross in the 36th minute. It was Villa's fourth win in five games, while Newcastle followed last week's 4-1 defeat at Coventry with another home loss.
