Black smoke rose from inside the US Embassy compound in Kuwait City on Monday as Iranian drone and missile attacks hit the country, Reuters witnesses confirmed and firefighters attended the scene. The embassy did not officially confirm a direct strike but issued a security alert stating 'do not come to the embassy' and ordering all personnel to shelter in place. All visa and citizen services were suspended indefinitely. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries among embassy staff were reported.
