Campaigners fighting government plans to house up to 1,256 asylum seekers at the former Ministry of Defence site near Bicester have launched a High Court challenge. The group Wrong Plan Wrong Site, backed by Cherwell District Council, wants a judicial review of the decision that no environmental assessment was needed. The Home Office is fast-tracking the scheme and declined to comment on the legal action.
