Nathan Owens, 34, has been jailed for life with a minimum of 35 years for murdering his stepdaughter Carla Georgescu on her 20th birthday. The University of Lancashire student was attacked in her Preston flat in February. The judge at Preston Crown Court said Owens had a longstanding sexual obsession with her, staged the scene to look like suicide and showed no remorse whatsoever afterwards.
