Trans people now barred from single-sex spaces

Transgender individuals might now avoid public places as new guidance excludes them from single-sex services. The Equalities and Human Rights Commission published this updated code of practice after an April 2025 Supreme Court ruling defined sex as biological sex. Charities and groups like the Trans+ Solidarity Alliance warn it's akin to US bathroom bans.
