UK Manufacturers at Their Most Pessimistic Since the Pandemic Began
British manufacturers are their most pessimistic since the start of COVID-19, according to a CBI survey, with the Iran war driving costs and uncertainty. Investment plans hit their lowest since April 2020, and the expected prices gauge surged to +32 in April, the biggest monthly jump since records began in 1975, as order books continued to weaken.
