Palestine activist's hunger strike continues in UK jail
Teuta Hoxha, a Palestine Action activist held at HMP Peterborough, has vowed to continue her hunger strike despite severe health deterioration. The 28-year-old, on her 40th day without food, suffers from low blood pressure, headaches, chest tightness and shortness of breath. She is one of six activists refusing food in protest against prolonged pre-trial detention and terrorism charges. Healthcare professionals warn the strikers face immediate risk of death without intervention. All activists remain on remand awaiting trials scheduled for 2026.
