Verstappen's Nürburgring debut ends in breakdown

Max Verstappen saw his debut in a 24-hour endurance race end early after a mechanical issue struck his team’s Mercedes-AMG GT3. The four-time Formula 1 world champion was leading by more than 30 seconds on Sunday when the car developed a rear problem. After spending over an hour in the garage without returning to the track, the team’s chances of victory were effectively over.
