Missing Scot identified after remains found in Wyoming

Human remains found on a US mountain ten months ago have been confirmed as those of John Gillies, a Scottish man who would have celebrated his 69th birthday this year. Specialists estimate his death occurred in Wyoming's Wind River Mountains around 2019, with his remains found close to Sweetwater Gap. Police Scotland and Interpol helped identify him through DNA samples from relatives, and his remains are now being returned to Scotland.
