EEA Links Pollution to Mental Health Issues

The European Environment Agency warned on Tuesday that environmental pollution is linked to various mental health disorders in Europe. Studies indicate air pollution, noise, and chemicals are associated with depression, anxiety, and other conditions. Mental health disorders were the EU's sixth largest disease burden in 2023. The agency stated that achieving zero pollution targets and environmental laws could improve well-being.
