SpaceX buys AI coding startup Cursor for $60bn

SpaceX is acquiring AI coding startup Cursor in a huge all-stock deal valued at $60 billion, according to a recent filing. The merger agreement was signed on June 16, 2026, and is expected to close in the third quarter after getting regulatory approvals. Cursor's shares will convert into SpaceX Class A common stock, and SpaceX stock rose 4.49% to $201.14 on Tuesday.
