Saudi jets strike Iran-backed groups deep inside Iraq during war
Fighting around the Gulf spread beyond Iran, with cross-border attacks and drone launches raising pressure on nearby states. Reuters reported on Wednesday that Saudi Arabia carried out air raids on Iran-backed Shi’ite groups in Iraq, while strikes were also launched from Kuwait into Iraq. Iraqi officials said one April attack destroyed a Kataib Hezbollah communications and drone site near Basra after attacks on Gulf targets.
