Australia Backs Removing Prince Andrew From Royal Line of Succession

Australia’s Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has told UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer that his government would support any move to remove Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor from the royal line of succession. The position follows Andrew’s recent arrest and ongoing police investigation, despite him having stepped back from royal titles in 2025. Any change would require legislation in the UK Parliament and the consent of all 14 Commonwealth realms where King Charles III remains head of state.
