Asian stock markets fall for third day as oil rises 1.2%

Asian stock markets dropped for a third consecutive day, with South Korea's Kospi falling around 6%, Japan's Nikkei 225 down 3%, and both Australia's ASX 200 and Hong Kong's Hang Seng also in the red. US-traded oil and Brent crude each rose 1.2% as tankers on the Strait of Hormuz remained at a standstill and fresh strikes continued across the Middle East.
