Argentina beat Spain 2-1 in their only 1966 World Cup game

Argentina secured a 2-1 victory over Spain in their last World Cup meeting, a 1966 group game at Villa Park. Striker Luis Artime scored both goals for Argentina, including the winner after Spain had equalised. Argentina then advanced from the group but lost to England in the quarter-finals.
