Apple's first foldable iPhone could ship 10 million units, defying market slump

The high-end device, which marks Apple's very first folding model, is expected to launch this September with a steep price. Market researcher IDC says the upcoming release should save the broader folding phone industry from a recent downturn. Samsung originally invented this handset style seven years ago, but analysts think plenty of consumers are now ready to buy a fresh alternative.
