Apple raises Mac and iPad prices, blames AI boom
It's a rare overnight price rise for Apple, and a sign the AI boom's hunger for memory chips is now reaching shoppers. Apple raised prices on Thursday for Macs, iPads and home devices, by up to about 25% on some models, blaming soaring memory costs. The iPhone was spared, but Apple shares fell about 6%, their worst day in a year, with more rises possible.
