Andy Burnham urged to lobby EU leaders over new border checks

Andy Burnham has faced calls to directly petition EU leaders for a halt to the new Entry-Exit System (EES). Liberal Democrats' Calum Miller said the "bungled" system puts millions of Britons at risk of ruined holidays. The EES requires non-EU citizens to register, be photographed, and fingerprinted on arrival.
