Alexia Putellas Wins Record-Equalling Third Women's Ballon d'Or

London City Lionesses midfielder Alexia Putellas has won the women's Ballon d'Or for a record-equalling third time. The Spain star, 32, captained Barcelona to a quadruple including the Champions League last season before moving to the Women's Super League in July. She now matches former Barcelona team-mate Aitana Bonmati's three wins. Barcelona striker Ewa Pajor was second and Manchester City's Khadija Shaw finished third overall.
