Former Arsenal and Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant needed more than 50 stitches after a German Shepherd attacked him while he was walking his dogs in north London. The 43-year-old said the dog clamped onto his leg until his own American Akita, King, fought it off. Pennant posted a photo with his bandaged leg, called King "a legend", and has not reported the attack to police.
