Albert Manifold leaves BP chairman role

Serious concerns about his conduct and governance oversight led to BP's chairman being removed by its board. Albert Manifold was unanimously dismissed by the London-listed firm's board with immediate effect, having joined last October. Details of the unacceptable issues have not been disclosed, and Ian Tyler has been appointed interim chairman.
