Air Canada pilots killed as plane hits fire engine
The pilot and co-pilot of an Air Canada Express flight have died after their passenger jet collided with a fire engine while landing at New York’s LaGuardia airport. The aircraft, travelling from Montreal with seventy-six people on board, struck the emergency vehicle late on Sunday. Dozens of passengers were reportedly injured in the crash. The incident forced the complete closure of the airport, resulting in widespread flight diversions and cancellations while authorities investigate the fatal runway collision.
