Two cannabis compounds help fatty liver in mice.

Around one in three adults worldwide have fatty liver disease, a condition for which no drug is currently approved. New research suggests cannabis compounds could help manage it. Researchers at Hebrew University found Cannabidiol (CBD) and Cannabigerol (CBG) improved liver function in obese mice over 28 days. The peer-reviewed study, published in the British Journal of Pharmacology, found CBG also lowered total body fat.
