AI Model Too Dangerous for Public Release, Anthropic Says

Anthropic is withholding its powerful new AI model, Claude Mythos Preview, from public release over fears it could enable large-scale hacking. In testing, the model found tens of thousands of previously unknown software vulnerabilities across major operating systems and browsers, including a 27-year-old bug in OpenBSD. Anthropic has launched Project Glasswing, giving selective access to around 40 major tech companies for defensive security work.
