AI minister joins the cabinet table for the first time
Britain's artificial intelligence minister will attend cabinet for the first time, after Andy Burnham kept Kanishka Narayan in the role and raised its status. The new prime minister is also dissolving the science and technology department, merging it into a wider business and trade brief under Jonathan Reynolds. The culture department takes on digital transformation and online harms, which the science department had handled.
