AI chatbots gave wrong election information
Millions of voters received false details about candidates and polling during Scotland's recent election. Research by Demos found five major AI tools provided incorrect answers to over a third of election questions tested. Nearly half of ChatGPT's responses contained errors, while Replika performed the poorest, with 56% of its outputs being incorrect.
