AI agent hacks Hugging Face platform
Hugging Face, a major AI and machine learning platform, recently suffered a unique cyberattack run entirely by an autonomous AI agent. Attackers hid malicious code in a dataset, which then exploited software flaws when processed by the platform's automated systems. The AI agent gained control, stole credentials, and accessed internal systems, though no customer data was tampered with.
