After Deadly Strikes, Six Arab Nations Join US Against Iran
The United States, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE released a joint statement Monday condemning Iran's "indiscriminate and reckless missile and drone attacks against sovereign territories." Saudi Arabia separately stressed it had not permitted its territory or airspace to be used against Iran, despite being on the receiving end of Iranian drone strikes. The statement marks a significant diplomatic alignment of Gulf states behind Washington. Three people have been killed in the UAE, one in Kuwait and one in Bahrain since Iranian retaliation began Saturday.
