Afghanistan condemns deadly Pakistan airstrikes on border regions
Diplomatic strains between Afghanistan and Pakistan have intensified after Kabul accused Islamabad of launching cross-border airstrikes. Taliban officials say residential properties and a religious school in frontier areas were struck, with civilian casualties reported, including women and children. Pakistan disputes claims of indiscriminate action, asserting the operation was aimed at militant bases allegedly responsible for recent attacks within its territory. Afghanistan’s Defence Ministry has condemned the incursion as a breach of sovereignty and indicated that possible retaliatory measures are under review.
