Auction of Neck Shackles Sparks Slavery Profiting Claims

Cheeky Auctions in Tain, Ross, Scotland, is selling neck shackles dated to 1780, which has drawn condemnation. The shackles are linked to the enslavement of African people in Zanzibar. Labour MP Bell Ribeiro-Addy says trading in such items means people are continuing to profit from the slave trade. The shackles are valued at about £1,000.
