Canada adds 14,000 jobs in March

Canadians' average hourly pay increased by 4.7 per cent in March, marking the fastest rise since October 2024. This follows Statistics Canada reporting the economy gained 14,000 jobs last month, with the jobless rate remaining at 6.7 per cent. These gains partially recover the 84,000 jobs lost in February, according to the Labour Force Survey.
