Death toll climbs to 148 after strike on girls’ school in southern Iran

The number of fatalities following a reported strike on a girls’ school in Minab county, southern Iran, has increased to 148, according to Iranian authorities. Ebrahim Taheri, a local prosecutor, told Mizan News Agency that a further 95 people were wounded in the incident. Iranian media first reported the attack yesterday. The casualty figures have not yet been independently confirmed by external sources.
