Hong Kong fire: Three arrested for manslaughter
A devastating fire has killed at least 44 people and left 279 missing after engulfing seven of eight residential towers at Wang Fuk Court housing complex in Hong Kong's Tai Po district. The blaze, the city's deadliest in three decades, started Wednesday afternoon and quickly spread through bamboo scaffolding surrounding buildings undergoing renovation. Among the fatalities was a firefighter who died battling the flames. Three construction company officials have been arrested on manslaughter charges, with authorities citing gross negligence after finding flammable polystyrene boards blocking windows.
