King's London, Cranfield merging for 47,000 student university
The UK's higher education sector, currently facing financial struggles, will see a major new "super-university" by summer 2027. King's College London and Cranfield University have agreed to join, creating a combined institution with government approval. It'll be known as King's College London, or a name yet to be confirmed, teaching around 47,000 students and becoming the second biggest mainstream university.
