Mexican authorities tracked and killed drug cartel boss Nemesio Rubén Oseguera Cervantes, known as "El Mencho," during an operation near Tapalpa on Sunday. The Mexican defense secretary stated that authorities discovered the 59-year-old crime boss after trailing his lover to his secret hideout. He was fatally injured in a firefight with his bodyguards during the attempt to capture him. The raid triggered widespread revenge attacks carried out by armed gang members throughout western Mexico.
