A little caring helps your brain, a lot hurts

Extensive caring duties can significantly worsen older people's mental sharpness and lead to social isolation. A UK study by University College London found that caring for 50 hours or more weekly accelerates cognitive decline in those aged 50 or over. Conversely, providing care for just five to nine hours a week actually boosts brain health.
