Hull beat favourites Millwall for final spot
Millwall's long-standing playoff curse continued, as they failed to reach the Championship final for a third time. Hull, managed by Sergej Jakirovic, defeated Alex Neil's Millwall team on Monday, 11 May 2026, despite Millwall being heavy favourites. Substitutes Mohamed Belloumi and Joe Gelhardt scored for Hull, a side that finished 10 points behind Millwall in the league.
